Parliament Guards Knock Teeth Out Of Elderly Woman In Scuffle

PARLIAMENT House security guards are under scrutiny after three of them tackled an elderly woman so hard that her false teeth fell out.

Labor MPs have called for a review of training following the incident in the House of Representatives public gallery after question time this afternoon.

The woman was trying to get Prime Minister John Howard's attention when the guards moved in.

As they tried to usher her out of the public gallery, the woman stumbled and her false teeth flew out of her mouth, landing at the feet of some schoolchildren sitting in the back row.
