Caution's subversive song of the day
Today's song is from The Beatles. Timeless class called Revolution. There are two versions of this song, one a slow ballad and another a sped up more energetic version.

This is a great song about non-violence. Basically telling us we don't need to resort to violence to affect change in the world along with a not so subtle dig at Maoists. I've bolded my favorite bit in the song.

Sorry no iTunes link for this one as they apparently don't currently carry The Beatles.

Revolution

You say you want a revolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know you can count me out

Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright Alright

You say you got a real solution
Well you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well you know
We're doing what we can
But when you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be alright
Alright Alright

You say you'll change the constitution
Well you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know know it's gonna be alright
Alright Alright

1. Thank you Caution
I wish someone would tell us it was going to be alright today.

I remember when the song was new - sigh.

2. In one of those versions, the chorus sings "in" after the "out."
I always found that a strange mixed signal. It's probably in the rockin' version.
