1. Thanks for this post!
Edited on Thu Jul-10-03 02:35 AM by Rhiannon12866
I give it a 5!:-)

on edit:

in answer to the last three questions.

1. DU features?

Favorite: I'm enjoying the polls!

Least favorite: I am sorry that so many have chosen to completely hide their profiles. They may reveal all sorts of intimate info on the threads, but they choose to hide their post count!

2. TV pundits?

Favorite: There is none that represents me. David Letterman occasionally gets in a few punches.

Least favorite: Everyone carps about Bill O'Reilly. I think Joe Scarborough is worse.:grr:

3. Colors?

I love purple or blue, but lime green makes me nauseous.:puke:

5. You're good
You got all of them right. I'll give you #1. The first "President" was Vigdis Finnbogadottir (Iceland, 1980). But a "Prime Minister" should also count.

4. Hi ZenLefty
I don't follow hockey real much, but I've heard of Cherry and Melrose. I heard that Cherry was pretty angry that Canada opposed the Iraq war.

3) Who was the first African American woman in the U.S. ever elected to the U.S. Congress and later ran for nomination of vice-president on the Democratic ticket?

(5) Ack, don't remember her name, but she's at the UN now. The year must have been 1994 or so ... roughly. ;-)
(6) No idea.

7) Who was the first black woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and in what year?
8) Who was the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate and in what year?

2) Who is your favorite/least favorite television pundit?
3) What is your favorite/least favorite color?

(1) Favorite: Better searching! Least favorite: Hard to read names of posters in the conversation tree!

(2) Favorite: none. Least favorite: many many many! I don't like TV pundits in general. I've seen Paul Krugman on the NewsHour so maybe I'll call him my favorite, even though he's not really a "TV pundit".

(3) No strong opinions, really, so I'll skip this one.

Have a great Thursday and thanks for the trivia, TSIAS. I'm looking forward to the answers to all those questions I had no idea on.

:hi:
