Why don't any clubs have an "Oldies" night
Edited on Tue May-25-04 10:21 PM by HEyHEY
Seriously..they have "disco" nights.....why not oldies..best of the 50s and 60s...I'd LOVE something like that, and I think many people lve dancing to the old tunes..great example..I rarely dance anymore..but "come on everbody" by EDDIE! Was just on and I had to dance in my chair....

would you enjoy such a thing?

(EDIT) I KNOW Nighttrain is with me on this one.

3. Here, here HEyHEY
That might get us old farts to turn off A&E and get out of the house.

p.s. Ever heard Sid Vicious do "C'mon Everybody"? It's damn good. It's on "The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle". He also does "Something Else" by Eddie.

Despite the negative publicity of Sid, he was sincere in his love of real rock'n'roll.

Keep the faith.

4. We call it "Beach Music"
around here. Plenty of clubs have Beach Music nights where you can listen to early R&B and shag the night away! ;-)

6. Aaaahhh..."Miss Grace" by the Tymes...
Ooh ooh ooh Miss Grace
Satin and perfume and lace
The minute I saw your face
I knew that I loved you

Hey you, listen to me
I got a lot of truth I want to tell you
I just met a woman who turned me upside down
The rivers turn in their beds
Flowers bloom where she treads
She turns an awful lot of heads
When she comes to town

Miss Grace when you walk by
You're the twinkle in my eye
There's no need to wonder why
I've fallen for you

Ooh ooh ooh Miss Grace
Satin and perfume and lace
The minute I saw your face
I knew that I loved you

Strangest thing of all you see
Is that this could happen to me
Lady Grace she said she'll be so fine
Someday I'll make her mine all mine

Ooh ooh ooh Miss Grace
Satin and perfume and lace
The minute I saw your face
I knew that I loved you

Ooh ooh ooh Miss Grace
Satin and perfume and lace
The minute I saw your face
I knew that I loved you

7. I worked at a club where EVERY night was oldies night!
Edited on Tue May-25-04 10:47 PM by Lisa0825
I was a cocktail waitress at the Hop. Early evenings, it was mostly 50s-60s music. Later in the evening, they got more into disco. It's still my favorite dance club to go to. Really diverse clientelle.. all ages, all races, shapes, and sizes. And people all ask everyone to dance too. Much friendlier than most clubs I know in the Houston area.

8. The Clubs Would Have To Let Guys Like Me In
Where I could honestly compare the band playing against the Beatles in Shea Stadium.
