6. Here's a suggestion.

Go back and tell them that if they want a memorial dining hall, they should name it for someone who died in the conflict. Like, say, Spc. Mathew Boule. He was from Mass. Here's a list of others. http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2003/iraq/forces/casualties/
