I took the weekend off at DU - did anyone miss me?

I thought I would write one of those heartfelt "GOODBYE CRUEL DU I'M LEAVING" but I figured it's been done to death. Plus I knew I'd be back in 3 days anyways

Hope everyone had a great 3day weekend. I'm at work and I'm exhausted. Wonder if anyone would notice if I took a nap under my desk?

2. I'm more exhausted than you are.

I spent the weekend moving out of and cleaning my apartment. Up and down those damned stairs a hundred times or more. Argh!

In a couple of weeks, I get to move all over again! Whoopee! But no stairs this time.

On the plus side, flush_bush has a very comfy bed in his spare bedroom, and I get my own bathroom too!

Fun fact about the batkiller

She's not overly affectionate, which I am fine with. She keeps Abbott entertained & happy so she serves her purpose.

But lately she wants to cuddle with me at the oddest time - when I'm sitting on the toilet first thing in the morning. And if I don't pet her she'll meow really angrylike until I do pet her.

Cats are bizarre!!!

4. I missed everyone

I hurt my hands in a fan accient (don't ask) and then my cable got shut off...by me, the idiot that I am. I hit a standby switch on my modem that I didn't even know that I had. Once I was told about it, I was back online in a minute.

I was getting burnt out and depressed had to turn off the TV & DU for a few days.
I feel much better now.

18. Hey, Wilmington is OK.

I don't know about a vacation spot, but it seems like an OK place to live. The downtown was nice. Plus it's driving distance to some really cool places.

But as a spot to party? Uh, no. Although, you have some big-ass liquor stores in DE.

Total Wine is like the Kmart of liquor stores but it doesn't carry my favorite Pinotage.

Krestons is smaller but has the best staff and some really odd liquors there.

Lately though I've been drinking in DE and not Philly because DE is totally smoke free and Philly isn't
