1. I have five words for you.
Pepe's. Pizza. Pepperoni. White Clam.

But seriously, Sally's is great, too. I've lived in a lot of places, but cruddy, old New Haven, Connecticut, has the best non-deep-dish pizza around, bar none.

Some say that it's wasted on all those Yalies. Ha-Ha.

By the way, is Libby's italian pastry and coffe shop still next to Pepe's? How about Martzulo's? Absolute heaven!!

4. Hey - what about Claire's Corner Copia?

Best vegetarian/organic food on this earth - and the desserts ain't bad, either!

Claire has at least two cookbooks out that I know of.

I grew up just north of New Haven - after college Mrs. DB and I moved back to North Haven for 10 years before heading off to NH in '86. We used to invest in multi-family housing in the Yale area, so we spent LOTS of time at the aforementioned places!

5. That's after my time living in the area.
Sounds good, but does it have white clam pizza?
