2. Just my opinion
But Receptionist/Admin Assistants/Exec Assistants are among the most important (and unsung - and underpaid!) people in the organization. I'm a Branch Chief and I would rather piss off my boss than piss off our receptionist or admin assistant!

3. Actually, I just call myself a secretary
No disgrace in being a secretary.

And I will not say, "I support the chief of medical legal." He can support his own-damned-self. I have a job to do.

4. Flushing out cold calling salespeople is my fave thing to do
Fix 'em with the steely stare.

"Do you have an appointment?"?

I told one guy I didn't care if he was Jesus of Nazereth, because even He wouldn't get past me without a contact name.

5. Why change the title "secretary" to "administrative assistant?"
It makes no sense...both the same god-damn thing.

They'll always be known as "secretaries" to me.
