6. So is yours the "tiny hand" model?
I guess the old look comes from her taking the design from the strad's....I wish I had a digital camera to post my guitar pics...one day I''ll get off it and go get one.

8. No, but they are apparently every bit
as rich in sound as her standard models. Someone in the NY Phil plays one...can't be too shabby, eh?

What kinds of guitars do you have? My husband has us nearly buried in his! :D

9. I've got several
A custom Taylor that was a prototype for a model they now make (it was owned by probably the best fingerstyle guitar player in the world)

A 70's Les Paul custom.

A late 70's Custom Martin D-28

A Guild X-170 (for short scale jazz stuff)

and a Freddy Tavares custom Fender Aloha strat are among my collectibles.

13. I'll have to have him make a list...
The only one I can remember is my favorite of his collection...a red Gibson ES345 from the early 60s that his uncle gave him. His uncle played the banjo with Mitch Miller, and gave him his first guitar lessons.

4. That's not what I thought of when reading "wooden buddy"!
A male gender violin? Mine is a she. But whatever yours is, I'm a sucker for 1-piece backs.
And regardless of gender, the fiddle is such wonderful company and consolation, no?

7. But if those were made of wood
wouldn't one get icky splinters? :P

Most of my female fiddler friends have male violin companions...and yes, the intimacy I share with my instrument touches the deepest part of my soul.

Say, do I know you?

14. It'd be great if you learned with her!
You can help each other out a lot. Playing duets helps develop intonation and makes learning more fun. :nopity:
