Ghost story thread!
I'd be willing to bet there's version of this story in every state or region:

Man is driving home late at night and sees a young woman waving by the side of the road. He offers to help. She says she is stranded and needs a ride home. He offers, and she gets in and tells him where to go. He drives along, chattering the whole time, not really taking notice of how quiet the girl is. When he arrives at the address she gave, he is stunned to find his passenger seat is empty! So spooked is he that he knocks on the door to the house. An old woman answers the door and when he tells the story, she sighs and invites him in. She says the young girl is her daughter, who was killed years ago in an auto accident in the very spot where he picked her up.

Your turn!
