10. My BMW has a voice alarm
STEP AWAY FROM THE CAR. YOU ARE STANDING TOO CLOSE TO THE CAR....I used to look out my office window and see people talking to my car.

It's a little harsh to call them idiots if they have no control over it.

In my experience, anyway, that's not a user-customisable feature. If it is, then yes - idiots. If not, they're probably suffering more than you...

.....there's one in my apt. complex that goes off in the middle of the night....IF THE FRICKIN' WIND BLOWS...and they always let it go...ON AND ON AND ON! :grr:

15. I've been living in the city too long to take those things seriously
In all the time that they've been going off, I've never known them to be going off with regard to an actual burglary.

I have, however, known several neighbours who've had their cars vandalised, burgled and even stolen with an active car alarm that was quickly disabled by a knowledgable thief.

They're just annoying. I know more than a few people who don't even look up anymore when they go off.
