What do you take if you have the beginnings of a cold?
My nose was stopped up yesterday. I'm coughing some today.

I can feel the beginnings of a cold coming on. And I want to get rid of it BEFORE it gets worse.

I'm going to stop at Osco's on my way home. What do I get?

Thanks,
Terry

6. Perhaps it's only allergies.
But you can't go wrong if you eat lot's and lot's of Vitamin C.

And get you some sleep too. No staying out dancing.

10. I'll take your advice on the dancing. :-) Sounds like the consensus...
is Vitamin C. I was also thinking about the zinc lozenges.

Thanks, everyone!

9. Great quantities of ginger tea
Regular hot tea with a goodly amount of ginger, honey, lemon juice. Plus lots of water, vitamin C, hot shower, early to bed after taking some Alka Seltzer Plus.

Usually works for me to stop it in its tracks, or at least to greatly lessen its severity.

Good luck

14. I take Cold-Eeze/Zinc lozenges at the first sign of a cold
If I get any symptom: cough, sore throat, whatever, I take them immediately. They won't hurt you if you don't need them. They cut colds down to a third of what they are otherwise for me: no lost worktime, less fatigue, etc.
