Everyone hates bush: Still more evidence.
You find evidence of bushco's rapidly waning popularity in the most interesting places theses days.

I was at the lake the other day and had occasion to use the port-a-potty at the boat launch. Mind you this is a rather remote lake, removed from any major population center. So I open the door to take care of my business and what do I find scrawled upon the walls? "bush = evil, bush is a murderer" and the ever popular "bush sucks!" Relieved and heartened I went about my day in a slightly brighter mood.

And from kids say the darnedest things department...

I was discussing reading with one of the students I work with (he's not a big fan of it) and he says, "I don't have the attention span to read. I have the attention span of a rock, no, I have the attentions span of george bush. Have you every heard him speak? He's all blah, blah, blah oh look! A puppy!" I about fell off my chair laughing. He went on to say, "My mom loves the guy. I don't know why, he's an idiot."

Moral of the story: Just because you get assigned to observed studies (a special ed, study hall, extra help sort of thing) doesn't mean you're dumb.

3. I have been surprised by the level of political interest
that the students have shown. The war has really focused their attention on things political.

The student in my original post had been watching the coverage of the WWII Memorial and was frankly disgusted with bush's rhetorical skills, or lack there of. He said that the other speakers were great while bush sounded like a fool.

4. Nice Story
The other day, I drove up to "surprise visit" my parents. My father, the hardest of hard-core Republicans, was watching the news. A story about Bush came on, and I was shocked to hear him say "This ***hole- I'd vote for Clinton before I'd vote for him!". I laughed- it was the most Democrat-tolerant thing I'd ever heard him say.

5. My dad too
He is (was) a life long republican but he can't stand bush and will be voting for Kerry this fall. He told me, "I never thought I would vote for a Democrat." Bush is so awful that even he can't stomach voting for him.

6. Here's another
At a frisbee golf couse in Ft COllins, CO, last weekend, my buddy spotted a picture of * in the bathroom. He was pointing at the camera, and the caption underneath said, "you won't forget to vote now, will ya, hippy?".

Hilarious.

10. It's funny -- as many ostriches as I share space with,
here in the stinky armpit of Ohio, the kids seem to be all right. There's a light pole I pass every day when I drive to work, and sometimes if I take the dog for a long walk. There's been a 'Bush-Cheney' sticker on it since 2000 -- somebody freshened it up recently, with a 2004-vintage sticker. I didn't notice until I was walking the dog last Friday, though, that somebody had tagged the pole in black indelible marker, parallel to the sticker, one word: 'SUCKS'.
