10. The red/off-white contrast in #3 isn't bad...

..except for the taste in furniture. Then again, I like high-contrast environments -- right now my apartment is all white paint and dark brown mock oak trim/doors/floors, etc. Bright colours in moderation are great in large spaces -- one of the best places I ever lived, in terms of decor, had a living room that was white with electric blue, with sun-and-moon wallpaper in the built-in bookcase segments on the walls (as in #3). Neat. In my apartment in Cambridge, I also had bright colours, and I liked it just fine. (Camb. apt. was what the rental mags describe as "European," generally. :) )

12. I was there!

Back in the mid 1970's, my family went there, to the restaurant.

My sisters and I, and then my parents and the rest of us toured the hotel.

We were laughing so hard by the end of the tour, we nearly all had our sides aching.

GAWD, was that place awful!

It looked like Austin Powers and Dr Evil had got together to design a hotel. :-)

The place burned down last year, though. :-(
