Question about the diving process.
Sit down and roll backwards or jump in an upright position?

2. AHEM! (damn matcom!)
OK, we most always do the step off. I think it is easier to slowly descend as the air bubbles in your suit rise. It is much more fun to do the roll off but many times the dive boats are too high. That is probably the main reason the step off has become the most used way.

8. I can't believe
you! I was just getting ready to tell you that a slow descent is much easier on the ears then I see this! Just remember, if the pressure is too much go a little higher for a while then you can descend again without the pressure. A quick asscent will always be hard on the ears, you may have to spend a little more time at a lower depth before the pressure is relieved. Also, watch out for mask squeeze.

4. I like to roll off -
If the drop is relatively shallow... You will know what is best when....
The giant stride works fine, just keep your hand on your mask.

Makes me wish I was off Cozumel right now just hovering over Palacios.

9. I learned by doing the roll off, but
I prefer the step off. I guess I like to see where I'm going. :-)
