1. British...
More witty with a far wider variety of situations to poke fun at.

American comedies, the vast majority of, are all about some nukyular family and are tame and dull... :eyes: (Sheesh, Damon Wayans used to do "In Living Color" and he was funny as hell. Well, today he's got a 'family' show on ABC that's as dull and irritating as listening to * speak or watching any other family-based show.) It's like somebody's forcing family lifestyle down our throats... :shrug: :tinfoilhat:

I'm amazed "Roseanne" worked as well as it did - probably because it was outrageous and novel for its time.

Satire, puns, naughty words, plus slapstick.

The British are a lot more inventive when it comes to being funny. Who else would come up with "Decomposing Composers?" :D
