Reagan died years ago!

I hate to sound insensitive, but IMO Reagan died years ago. Two of my grandparents had Alzheimer's and as far as i was concerned they died before they were dead. A little over a year after they were diagnosesed they just became empty shells. It was very hard to see them slip slowly away. Am i wrong for thinking like this?

2. No, your right. He didn't know who he was or who his family was anymore.

He was already gone. Some deaths are hard - the young, the unexpected. Some are a relief for everyone - the very old (93), the sick and in pain.

My father has Alzheimer's at this moment, and it is HORRIBLE to watch him being erased...
