Is GW looking old to you?
I was noticing on this European trip that GW looks like Father Time is doing cartwheels on him. His hair seems to be getting white, and he's losing that lean look of GHW Sr. and beginning to get that doughy look of his mother.

I dunno if it's just the lack of careful staging and lighting that he usually gets in the US, or if he's aging rapidly. But he looks about ten years older all of a sudden.

Anyone else notice this?

2. Some of that is intentional.
It is to make him look more statesmanlike;

They stopped dying his hair a few months back.

3. Yes, he looks much older...
but don't let that fool you. He runs 20 miles a day, cycles 50 miles, does 20 rounds of sparring with the US marines boxing team, and swims across the Yangze River every day.

5. the presidency ages people
rapidly..it`s the pressure of the job. i`d rather imagine bush is really worried that he will lose the next election . his chance to show up his dad and please his mother is slowly slipping away and there is nothing he can do. he is in deep shit and he knows it and no one is going to bail him out this time...

11. Yes, it happens to all of them
Look at any picture of a President right before and after their term. It looks like they age 10 years or more in one term. That's one reason I would never want to be President.

7. Because his world is coming down around him..
look at LBJ circa 1963 and compare it to a photo of him in 1968. A nation at war with internal problems will wear you down.

12. The wheels are coming off the bus and he knows it.
Pretending that it's still a smooth ride is taking too much out of him.

I was thinking the same thing the other day, but you have the best description for it: "doughy look of his mother", the succubus. I heard he wasn't running any more because of his knees, so he's having a hard time with his weight. I bet his dry-drunk's sweet tooth is doing a number on his waistline.

14. I dunno,...he just looks disconnected, distant, & detached as usual,...
,...to me,...perhaps more tired than before. Maybe his distance is more evident because he is actually having to work more than ever before to "market" himself,...which leaves him tired and more transparent. Of course, his psychopathology is becoming more evident, too *LOL*.

16. I've felt he's looked like hammered sh*t the last year. And yes, the
presidency does substantially age most presidents. Even though Clinton is looking pretty good now, the last few years he got a lot older.

Reagan didn't change much because he was already old and took naps most of the time.
