When do you feel most alone?
For me it's when I'm up at the cabin here. Listening to Oldies on Satelitte. I here one of my favs, like "twistin the night away" and want to dance and make merry, but there's just me here.

I mean, sure I've got DU, but in the end, I can't dance with you folks via email...or actually talk to yeah. Stupid career.

1. At the Laundomat...
No shit, I'm glad it takes only 3 hours. Any longer and I'd need sedation.

Horrible place!

6. I'd prefer it empty.
Too many negative waves coming from the others there.

Back when there were 24-hour laundries...
I'd go there about 2 in the morning and after everything was washing, I'd get my sax out and wail away the hours....
Now it's just noise, and kids yelling, and the stink of that shit they use in the hide-tanning spraybooths...

9. In a crowd at a party
that is the worst for me. Used to feel pretty alone most of the time, but since Havocdad came into my life, that is better. Still avoid large parties, which is easy to do here in Tiny Town.

And I do feel sorta alone since the old cat died a month ago. The dog is sorta mopey too. We are kicking around the idea of getting him a pet.

10. Good call
I'm odd, I'll either be very outgoing or very introverted at parties. The worst is the latter. I'll sit on the front step contimplating thinfs as people keep saying...what's wrong?

NOTHING I'M FUCKING THINKING DICK!

12. Thinking? At a party?
What's wrong with you? ;-)

Actually, I'm the same way most of the time, except I'm almost never outgoing.

13. Going to bed alone...
Edited on Sun Jun-06-04 01:11 AM by Lisa0825
It's not all about sex... but just going to bed wihtout someone to snuggle up to... that's when I feel alone... when I miss my ex-bf the most.

edited to add:
my ex-bf and I were in a long distance relationship, so most of our days were spent apart, but I wasn't lonely alone, when I could think about him as I fell asleep, but going to bed without even having someone to miss is what feels really lonely to me.

14. Same here
Only I still have a boyfriend...he's 3,000 miles away back in Boston...I miss him holding me. I miss the sex, yeah, but above all, the simple act of him hugging me is what I miss most of all when I go to bed and I realize that there is no one besides me who will press his body against mine...
And when I wake up in the morning, I realize there is no one to cuddle me.

15. I only "Slept" with somone once
Stephanie....my last night in New Bruswick. We....did our thing, then at 8:00 am we woke up in each other's arms and I took my plane back to Vancouver.
She cried as I left, I wanted to cry for her too. But I just couldn't get the tears going. Hope she didn't think it's because I didn't feel for her.

Man if I didn't have to leave..what would have been?

But that was a nice way to wake up.

17. I've never really felt alone or lonely
I don't know why. Its like there is something inside of me that is comforting and with me.

Maybe I'm just stupid with faith, or something.

I've known desperate and lonely people. I have stayed with them to help them. But I have never felt that way and can't relate.

Perhaps I'm lucky.

18. When I'm
in the bush hunting Charlie.

Just kidding. I like to go on long walks late at night, and even though there may be quite a few people out I feel very alone and take the time to reflect on things.

21. used to do that a lot for a few years after a divorce
but I seem to have some knack for summoning company in the wee hours and generally found myself being escorted by coyotes when I lived in Tucson. They were never hostile. Sometimes they were very protective of me. One stopped me from suicide one night. I had the bad stuff in my mouth and this damn coyote came creeping up, took a submissive posture, whimpered and looked so pathetic I started laughing and out came all the bad stuff. The little I had swallowed came up in a rush and the damned coyote just sat there staring at me then scampered off with her chums.

Another night, when I had to go to the EMR cuz I hit my thumb with a hammer and it was really getting unbearable, 7 coyotes surrounded me and walked me from the hospital to the place I was house sitting. They saw me to the security gate, then off they went.

Family of them used to walk with me in the early morning every day for months. I think they all must have sensed how much I missed my old dog.

Now I live in Montana again and there are no coyotes around. So I got a dog. But I still like to walk alone late. Something almost magical happens most times I do it. I never really am alone then.

I usually feel alone if I go to a church service though. Hate being inside to pray.

It's hard to fuck things up when you are dancing with yourself.

And I'm the funniest person I have ever met.
