On tv this morning, they pointed out that the bratwurst kept running, and that he/she won the race. Then they showed it in slow motion, and pointed out that the bratwurst was making eye contact with the ball player who hit the sausage.

The bratwurst clearly had no regard for her fellow sausages.

There should be an investigation - this reminds me of the Tonya Harding episode.

Personally, I think the Germans are getting back at the Italians!

is the way people laughed it off when it happened. They should have thrown that ballplayer out of the game immediately.
