6. Listerine?
What's that?

I guess not. There's only so much they can pack into the covered wagon that makes deliveries to the general store, with all of the demand there is for flour, bacon, beans, lard, and what not. ;)

10. Years ago, my doc told me to garlge with it at a 1/3 dilution,
when I had an injury in my mouth. Peroxide breaks down tissue, so don't use it too strong or too frquently. I don't know if it would be OK for long-term use.

12. It helped me.
Forty years ago I was driving through Indiana and I was in misery. I had a chipped wisdom tooth and it was tearing the inside of my cheek to shreds. I stopped in a small town named Hope, and looked in the local phone book for dentists. As I recall, there was only one listed so I called for some advice or for an appointment; anything to get some relief. The dentist told me to go by the local drug store (the only one in town) and pick up a bottle of hydrogen peroxide. He said to slosh it around in my mouth until it gets real foamy, spit it out, don't swallow any, and do this three times a day. He did not mention diluting it at all. By day's end the swelling had subsided and the pain was gone.

I've used this method for other mouth sores that occur occasionally, with success, since that day.

Never had a chance to thank that man.
