Movie nuts & computer wonks. KILLERS clip needed.
Edited on Sun Jun-06-04 07:39 PM by troublemaker
Or is it computer nuts and movie wonks? Anyway...

Ronald Reagan's last film was the 1960s remake of THE KILLERS with Angie Dickinson. He had been out of the biz for a few years but inexplicably made that one film before running for governor of CA. I say inexplicably because he really played himself and it's un-fucking-believable; an ultra-nasty career criminal sadist in a shiny suit.

Unlike earlier Hollywood Ronnie, in the Killers he looks *exactly* as he looked as governor and president. Same wrinkles, same "black-hole black" dye-job and weird hairdo.

There's a five second sequence where Dickinson disagrees with him on a small point and he says something incredibly vicious and launches himself across the room and belts her in the face with a demented smirk on his lips. I used to watch that over and over in slow motion on an old VHS and almost die from laughing. He's pure stupid evil... really "dropping the mask." (He wasn't that good an actor...)

Anybody have a digital clip of that tiny sequence? (The movie is on DVD now.) Everyone needs to see it, for the good of the world.
