did anyone see the sox game yesterday? (6/6/04)
or basicaLLy, did anyone see the repLay of royaLs' pitcher jason grimsLey getting pLowed in the face with a basebaLL thrown 1/8 inch from his face.

it was funny because it wasn't me (or red sox).

1. Didn't see it, but I heard about it.
What a STRANGE thing to have happen.

Did you see the umpire that got nailed a few years back. Basically, he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and took a ball the grill from about 5 feet. Not pretty, but he's OK now.

i watched it happen Live, and from the camera angLe couLdn't teLL what happened. at first i thought they banged knees, but couLdn't figure out why they were both pLaying possum.

i put this event up there with that giants pitcher, whose arm snapped in haLf.
