I spent the weekend abusing my cats
Two trips to the vet. Two blood tests. One tooth extraction. Five doses of worm medicine. Banana-flavored antibiotics AND Pepto Bismol for Bud. The usual thyroid meds for Matilda. A bath for Sophie. They're all really glad I went off to work today.

Check your slippers before you put them on in case they decided to leave you a present...

7. When my dog was hit by a car,
after surgery and after he came home, he started to decline. I thought we were going to lose him so took him back to the vet. It turned out he had a mildly infected incision and was constipated.
It was up to his Gammy and I to give him an enema. Poor littly guy!

Poor Gammy and I! We were terrified we were going to hurt him since his rear end was pinned together during the surgery. Thankfully, the antibiotics worked as did the enema and he's repaid me by terrorizing me on a daily basis since then.

9. Eh?
How does this have anything to do with going out? Cats don't need to go out to get worms. Ours have a regular mouse supply in the basement. One of the many advantages of owning a big old house.

8. We rounded up all the cats for ear mite medicine
That turned into a blood letting. Cats don't like meds in their ears.
