2. I prefer Excel as a reporting tool
Everybody here likes Excel, so I use it as a front end to our database.

6. Crystal Reports...BLECH!!!!!!!

They SUCK from a development perspective. Perhaps they are fine for end-users to create their own reports, but we developer types run like hell...

8. Never tried Crystal Reports, but I can attest that MS Access
SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS! The report function is horrible.

I noticed Crystal Reports was an option when I installed ArcGIS. Does it have a steep learning curve?

9. It's so much more flexible than MS Access!
I didn't get to use it much, but it was so much easier. One thing I really liked about it was the ease with which I could change the grouping. If I wanted to switch, rather than create a new report, it was just a click and drag. Since the data came from access it was a breeze.

I highly recommend it if you do a lot of MS Access reports.
