Ever have non-political arguments with Freeps?
Quite a few on them on a hobby board that I'm active on. Not surprisingly, you learn very quickly that the same smug arrogance, disregard for logic and research applies no matter what the issue is.

Also, notable, is their complete disregard for forum rules regarding political discussion - praising Fearless Leader is an entitlement.

2. funny story.
My freep health teacher, who I actually like quite a bit, and I don't agree on anything. Not politics, not classroom management, not even baseball teams (he's a Cubs fan, I'm a Cards fan). So the short answer is "yes"
