AAAAGGGHHH....so annoyed at a local store RE: delivery...
So I decided to go to a local independently owned store to get some 12X12 bricks delivered for a patio I'm putting in my backyard. Called Friday to confirm delivery on the scheduled date of Saturday. 3 days later and I've been put on hold 3 times (after which it disconnected me), been told I would get a call back 3 times (which nobody did), been rude to, told they would be here in 2 hours, told they would be here the next day, and I am just about fuming. The reason is apparently that their spider truck which is needed to unload pallets of bricks is on the fritz. Which is fine. I'm understanding of stuff like that happening. All I want is a date, general time frame, and a simple call back. The place is only 2 miles away from my house, and I decided to go with them even though Home Depot was a buck or two cheaper and at least I knew what I would be getting into with them and have never had problems with their delivery.

Right now I just want to cancel my order and get my money back but I can't get in touch with the owner. Meanwhile I've gut a 14 by 20 foot area dug out in my back yard and covered with sand waiting for me to put these things in.

Ugh. Is this what I get for trying to do the right thing and give business to the little guy?
