2. WOW!
"Contrary to its title, Michael Moore Hates America isn’t a hatchet job on the filmmaker. It’s a journey across the nation where we meet celebrities, scholars and average folks alike, all of whom are living the American Dream and proving that America is a great place to be!"

Yeah, all is well! Let's go around and show all the people that are doing better than you.

3. Another whore making a buck off of Moore's fame. But did you see...
"Moorewatch...Watching Michael Moore's Every Move"

http://www.moorewatch.com/

THAT one is scary. The other guy is just a little wuss who can afford video equipment. His site has a link to "moorewatch."

"MOOREWATCH is dedicated to unearthing the truth behind the doublespeak and falsehood that spews from the mouth (and keyboard) of Michael Moore on a regular basis. Moore is a disingenuous danger to this country, and his assumptions and assertions should not go unchallenged. The collective expertise and research abilities of the entire Internet are more than enough to debunk most of the nonsense Moore regularly puts forth as fact, and we at MOOREWATCH hope to be the clearinghouse for this information."

4. The "Horatio Alger" American story is mostly a myth.
These people he's supposedly going to talk to are only doing better because they've always been rich, and are directly benifitting from *'s policies.

Conservatives say "Work hard and be happy". The problem is that it's very hard to do that in this country nowadays.

5. It's easy to work hard, assuming you have a job
It's not so easy to make enough money to be happy.

7. I heard about this flick
A long time ago. And only on the internet.

Claims to have been interviewed by the St. Paul Pioneer Press, yet provides no link.

Also claims to have gotten interest from distributors and theaters.

Uh huh.

:eyes:

9. And, Earth 1st, do you also have a problem with Moore ?
or do you think this is LBN or are you just too busy to be bothered to add your thought to the post ?

Sorry to bore you but the questions were genuine. Are you a moore fan or not and why post a thread that has only a link to someone that seems to not be a moore fan ?

14. There are obvious undertones of humor...
I figured that the "rolling of eyes" gave that away...

13. its kinda funny that critics of Moore
blast him because they feel he stretches the truth and makes gross generalizations about certain individuals and group... but I hear nothing about the title of this film stating that Michael Moore hates America. I guess they wont say anything until a film comes out called "Michael Moore is Satan". Gosh darn hypocrites.

15. From what I can glean, the film has very little to do with Michael Moore.
Edited on Mon Jun-07-04 10:45 PM by elperromagico
Let's say I decide to make a film called Steven Spielberg Hates Babies - a film which has nothing to do with Steven Spielberg or his alleged hatred of babies, but rather consists of home movies of my niece crawling on the carpet - what will the natural reaction be? "He's just using Spielberg's name to make money."

If Michael Wilson's film is, as he claims, "a journey across the nation where we meet celebrities, scholars and average folks alike, and we find out whether the American Dream is still alive," then why not give it a title more appropriate to the substance of the film? Or, if you insist on calling it Michael Moore Hates America, why not deal with how he allegedly "hates America"?

Michael Moore is, like him or not, one of the most successful (if not the most successful) documentary filmmakers in the history of cinema. Using his name in a derogatory context as the title of a film which, admittedly, has very little to do with him... is nothing more or less than capitalizing. At least be honest about it.

16. I hope he enjoys living under Moore's Shadow for the rest of his life!
Thats why I have to laugh at him. He THINKS he is trying to expose Moore and use his film as a right wing feel good movie. But the fact of the matter is that if his film gets released then for the rest of his lightly put " Filmmaking" carrer he will live under Moores shadow and that strikes me as friggin funny. I think ill e-mail him and tell him LOL
