In honor of hitting 1000 DU posts today, I just went to my local blood bank and donated what seems like gallons considering I hate needles.

I'm all hyped up from the box of oreos and soda they gave me, so BRING IT!

3. my veins are very tiny and VERY wily.

it took three nurses to find one they could use.

they almost turned me away and i just kept saying, "but i still get COOKIES, right?? i mean..regardless. GIVE ME A COOKIE!"

4. The last time I was in the hospital I had the same problem.

I had an IV in my hand giving me fluids. They tried to draw blood from my wrist FOUR TIMES and couldn't hit a vein. So, they ended up taking the IV out, and using that hole to draw blood. Good thing I was hopped up on morphine, or I'd have been pissed! :D

5. They won't take mine...

I got a tattoo last September and they won't take my blood for a year. It's a shame, too. I have veins the size of subway tunnels and I can bleed out a pint in about four minutes...it's easy for me to do.
