*snif*

Well, it was a good run. If there's a next season, the Flames should do well; they're a good tough young team. I'm happy for Andreychuk, he deserves a ring after over 1700 games.

Gee, despite losing, people are still driving around honking, and somebody has fireworks, though it's far from dark.

1. Silver medal syndrome
Calgary did well just to make the playoffs this year, and then knocked off many teams that were favored to win due to being ranked higher than they were.

Tampa Bay beat them by a hair in game 7, but there were no losers on that ice tonight.

4. Yeah, it was a good exciting game
Too bad about that ratshit penalty call on Calgary near the end. It was a good hard hit, not particularly dirty, the kind that shoudn't get called in the last minute of a close Game 7. Notice how quickly St. Louis recovered from that hit. Still, I'm glad it was close and not 6-1 or something. I'm not being a sore loser, both teams deserved to win but someone had to lose.

Flames have a good strong young team now. Watch out for them, if the league ever plays again.

2. I rooted for Calgary too
but having Dave Andreychuk get his Ray Bourque moment makes up for it.

3. This past year...
has given some great sports games, namely the Super Bowl won at the wire (and I'm a Panther's fan saying this), and now we have Game 7 in the Stanley Cup finals to add to that list. I started watching about halfway through the 2nd period, and let me say this: I have never seen two teams that played that hard for so long. The third period alone should be an instant classic
