If you could travel through time, what year would you go to and why?

I would go to 2000 to do something to make sure the Florida recount continued, and to make sure that Albert Gore won fairly. To keep shrubya out of our lives.

1. I'd go to the year 2199,...

,...after the human-math.

I would definitely NEVER go back to "fix" the un-fixable.

It's a waste of human time and energy.

2. I'd go back just a few years and buy a house! Then I'd be sitting

pretty right now instead of shaking my head at the unbelievable prices.

3. Maybe I'd go back to 1945. . .

to Newhaven, Connecticut -- the formative hours of Barbara Bush's first pregnancy -- and there I would tinker biologically (I can pass through time, so genetics should be a cinch), but I would tinker biologically to produce a human being interested only in loving and sharing, a human being capable of true compassion, a thoughtful, intelligent human being . . . a perfect human being named George W. Bush.

That's what I'd do.
