There Is A Black Panther On The Loose In Marseille

MARSEILLE, France (Reuters) - A black panther was on the loose in the Mediterranean port city of Marseille for the sixth day Monday, eluding capture despite efforts by 60 men to track down the feline in creeks southeast of the city.

Several people have reported seeing the panther in the area, but said it did not appear aggressive. The site, which is popular with hikers, has been temporarily closed while the search continues.
