Little Girl Found Dead In My Town
Sunday morning a 3 year old little girl (Riley Fox) was reported missing at 8am. They found her in the creek south of town at about 3pm.

The autopsy revealed she had died at the hands of another, but was still alive when she went into the water.

The family (a doting mom and dad) lives about a mile north of me, and she was found about 2 miles south of me.

The town really came together in the hunt. She was not found by authorities, but by two volunteers. The police currently believe they have enough evidence to suggest a suspect, but no more details are released.

Just a bummer that an abduction/murder happened in our little hamlet.

4. Really a horrible tragedy.
The Mom was not at home at the time. And the father had just brought the rest of the family home from a get-together around 12:30AM.

Sounds a lot like the David Dowaliby case in some ways.

I went to HS with Dowaliby and knew him quite well.

For a little town, your little burg sure sees it's share of drama and tragedy.

7. That It Does!
This is the first child abduction in the city's recorded history, and it goes back to the 1850's. Unfortunately, not the first murder, though.

There's been about a dozen since we moved here in 1980. One every other year in a town of 5,000. (One murder per 10,000 people per year.)

A fairly high rate, i would say, for a small town.

8. Not to mention the Nazis you had to deal with last year
That's drama enough for a lifetime.

And you and XNASA keep telling us to move to the suburbs! ;-)
