As long as its a joke about gays, blacks, Jews, Arabs, Muslims, women, Hispanics (not Cubans, of course), the disabled and anyone who is poor.

You don't hear too much about "pointy headed liberals" and "eggheads" anymore - those used to be some of their favorite epithets.

I agree with your main point - fundamentalists of any stripe seem to have no ability to laugh at themselves. That's one of the scary things about them running this country and for the sake of everybody's sanity (including what's left of theirs) THAT'S GOT TO STOP!!
