Leaving for Yellowstone in the AM
Driving from Sacramento to be in the park by Friday AM. Hpoe they don't close the joint for St Ronnie day!

2. Are you going by way of US 20 out of Idaho Falls?
cuz the Targee National Forest is wonderful too and not generally as crowded. If you are camping, there are very nice sites there along the river.

havocmom, in the shadow of the plume if the super volcano blows... but the geologists haven't left town yet, so it's prolly OK :evilgrin:

Your headline spooked me because the Art BELL replacement dude has been drumbeating for months that Yellowstone might explode at any time between today and a thousand years from now, and our own Hurricane Hawker has soothed the spooking by saying that - if it were true - we would know by thousands of geology graduate students flocking IN to the park, then, when the erruption was imminant - them flocking OUT.

But in real life geo-politics as in the Marine Corps circa '67-'68 Vietnam with honers credit for work @ the Tet offensive... But that's another story...
