The Communist Manifesto
Stupid White Men
Dude, Where's My Country?
Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them

3. My library is due to lose 1/4 of it's books, or 25,000(among other things)
Our shyte-for-brains county commissioners decided to be the first and only county in the state to renege on the Maintenance of Agreement every county has with the state. There are a lot of services(like internet) that goes along with the agreement. The @$#% commissioners refused to fund it. I've called, written, ranted, offered to campaign for, threatened to actively campaign against, to no avail.

:argh:

4. I doubt they would cut back on my library
They expanded it only a couple of years ago. Not to mention it is the largest library in the county, I think.

5. Don't take it for granted. This library is the only one in the county.
The library had just moved into a nicer, bigger building. It literally took years to build up to the inventory they had. They're going to have to close the satellite libraries and the bookmobiles that went to the more isolated parts of the county.

6. Look on the positive side
at least it means your neighbors are reading those books. Hopefully, the right winger books are sitting on the shelves collecting dust.

8. Was it a public library or academic? The latter won't have very many
"popular" type books - more literature or related to their curriculum.

9. Public.
My school's library won't let you take out books anymore as there is only a week left of classes.
