6. Yes, American torture photos

Its upsetting to see the nation that is supposed to stand for freedom and a better way committ the horrible acts of torture and violence that are going on now. Since the media won't show photos of dead American soldiers or Iraqi civilian casualties I've been able to avoid seeing the worst of it. The graphic ugliness and cruelty of war didn't hit me so hard until the torture photos came out. That really disturbed me.

Reading about Reagan's legacy is just a reminder that we reap what we sow. To me, pacifism is about a policy that is desinged to sow peace now in order to reap peace in the future. Reagan sowed the seeds of violence that we are reaping today.
