38. I was at the pool yesturday
I was sitting there and a couple of ladies who were walking around checking up on the place and everybody. (I talked to them yesturday, just asked me where I lived and stuff) Well a couple young girls were at the pool probaly about 14 I'm guessing. One of the ladies asks them nicely to get out of the pool unless they were wearing a swimming suit (both girls were wearing shirts and shorts) Their reasoning was the lint and other garments get loose and mess up the filter in the pool(sounds reasonable to me). They get pissed, they starting being a smartass and talking back to the ladies and even then they stayed congenial and polite about it. I was just shaking my head, I mean those 2 ladies could've been assholes about it but chose not to. It didn't seem like they were being apprieciative to me, I don't know. I even went as far as apologizing for their behavior when I met up with them at the mailboxes. I don't know what that had to do with what you said but It amazes me how some people can be. Getting burnt sucks, my burn is going away and I got some sunscreen. Hopefully I don't get no more of those, I've gotten too many of them in my lifetime. How is the long distance thing working out? The girl I met the other day lives all the way in East Mesa and that is far! It must be extremely tough to deal with the fact both of you live across state lines.

40. How rude!!
I cannot believe them! Oh wait, yes I can. Their age proves it all. It shouldn't be the excuse, bitches! Sorry, I just have no respect for people that can't show other people respect. It was really nice of you to apologize for them though, even though you didn't do anything wrong. And I know what you mean about too many sunburns. Definitely been there, done that.

It's hard. Really hard. But that's how life is and any relationship takes work. This one is just going to take a little extra I suppose.

45. Same here
I may not be the nicest or best person out there but I make sure to treat everyone with the respect they deserve. I know, but if you were there you would've been apprieciative how those ladies were reacted to and how they were able to keep their cool.

I know what you mean, but do you think I should give it another shot(she said she'll come by Friday)? Funny thing is... she was the very first girl who was my g/f I was about 12. What happened was I go to San Diego for the weekend and when I come back, I find out she is going out with another kid. I was like :wtf: Later she tells me that she was too scared to tell him no when asked because she didn't want to hurt his feelings. She breaks up with him 3 months later and I try to get with her so she tells me 'she doesn't want a boyfriend right now'. We've still been great friends ever since. Were both wiser and Much Much Much more mature so what do you think?

50. Or
"What the hell did I get myself into?" could be a question asked for the rest of your life. I'm serious, my mom stayed with a man for 10 years when it shouldn't of even been 10 days. But at the same time I probaly would've never been born, not sure if that's a good thing though. But I think I'll give it a try, it's not like I have a bunch of girls lined up at my door or anything. :D

I just don't want to be making the wrong choices though. I've made some pretty bad choices that really have altered my life for good. I'm still in a position where I can still try to work and make something positive out of my life.

It just happens that way. You can't plan it out and you can't see into the future. Things happen and yeah, you're going to screw up more, we ALL will, that's just how life goes. It doesn't mean you still can't make something positive out of your life, you just work around the bad choices.

but like you said sometimes you don't know, but I can't explain it. Life can be very decieving so that's why I try to stay smart and keep my eyes peeled. I know exactly what you're saying, I'm saying I'm trying to be carefull in whatever decisions I do make. One bad choice can really f up your life for good. You have no idea how bad I wish I can see how things will turn out down the road, hopefully some good. :)

But you guys are just as confusing.

Here's how we like it, simply put. We like a challenge but not too much of one. We like a nice guy but not too much of one. You have to throw us curveballs every now and then and be semi-mean to us to keep us interested. (Are ya following?) It doesn't make sense, but then again, not much makes sense these days.

Currently in Anchorage
Mostly Clear 51°
Humidity: 68%
Wind: SSE 12 mph
Press: 29.90 in.
Vis: 10 mi.
Next sunrise: 4:23 a.m.
Next sunset: 11:34 p.m.
Aurora forecast: Quiet

Just finished walking 3.5 miles. After doing some research on the web I decided to drop the weights. Apparently the "so called experts" feel that there is too much risk of injury. They also mention problems with technique that are not easily overcome. The solution, so they say, is to take shorter steps and walk as fast as you can.

The good news is that there is only one more day to go till friday...

54. Today is my Gollum day! I'm so obsessed.
Here, gaze upon the object of my desire:

Description
You are bidding on a genuine, official, real Japanese cheapie from the 60's. The only thing for certain is that it dates to '64 or'65, judging from the logo style. It was made for import by Buegeleisen & Jacobson by either Guyatone or Tiesco. I will say that the quality of the wood and the finish is excellent. It has a beautifully shaped neck and frets true. There are a few nicks in the finish on the body, but the overall condition is great. The only thing missing is the vibrato arm. The (original?) case is heavy and appears to have been bashed and repaired at one time. This would be a worthy addition to someone's collection of 60's guitars. The pickups and pots work. Plug it in and have some fun. I've got a low starting price and no reserve on it. Best of luck bidding on this classic.

6 hours 28 mins

****

I have coveted this guitar ever since a friend of mine found one at a garage sale for ten bucks. He and I were in a band together at the time, and he drove me crazy by not ever using it. Eventually, he sold it.

Three years go by. Searching, but not finding. Then, Mrs. Cat spilled the beans--this is my anniversary present (if I win the bid). I am consumed by it.
I adore that girl. Why are goth chicks so good at seduction?

So, anyway, Blondie, there you go! TMI.

61. Writing is my passion.
That's pretty much it. I'm very much an emotional/people person. I feel like I have to write these big life-altering conclusions (which I do but most of the time ignore). I don't know how to describe it really. I feed off of other people's emotions yet I'm such an emotional person myself. That's basically my release. If I know that I've listened to at least one person or that I've helped out in some way, the tension is gone. Um, am I making sense?

68. Yes, perfect sense!
Are you familiar with Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences? According to MI theory, the concept of "IQ" is uselessly simplistic and subjective; all people, in fact, perform different mental functions at different levels of proficiency. One person may be able to perform trigonometric acrobatics, yet be unable to dance. A person may be fluent in two languages, but be unable to convey emotion efficiently. The greatest support for this theory comes from people who have sustained brain injuries: Gardner discovered that while some functions were obliterated--for instance, motor skills--memory and computational skills were unaffected. His research over the last couple of decades has driven most educators (of all levels) to create a huge variety of techniques for teaching and assessing cognitive and physical skills.

Not to bring this conversation back around to politics, but this theory is behind most educators' disgust with Bush, Paige, and NCLB: if everyone learns differently, how can you measure the results accurately through a week's worth of multiple choice tests?

There to so much information on his work that I almost don't even know where to send you...
Well, how about his own page at Penn State (where he teaches; he was at Harvard when he introduced MI:

There is much more info out there. If you're interested in more, let me know!

I told her a bit:

The Web is brimming with info on MI theory and Gardner. Tons of books (including 4 of his own) have been published on the theory and its applications, both in medical fields and in education.

It's a quiz to test what kind of thinker are you. (Don't know if you already took it)http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/leonardo/thinker_quiz/index.shtml It says it's pretty scientifically accurate and I came out as an interpersonal thinker. And from your link I see that he lists that kind of thinker, so I'll be looking into it quite a bit. I'm crazy, I think I spend too much time trying to figure stuff like this out. :)

77. Well, the Telecaster is in a whole different class!
The Tele' is a truly nice guitar, in terms of professional quality. It's both a studio instrument and a performance instrument.

The Kent, on the other hand, is good because of the ways in which it is also bad. On the good side, it won't go out of tune, and the neck is perfect. But the pickups are so cheap that when you turn it's pots past 5, it doesn't become louder--it distorts like a '70's transistor radio on full blast!
It's lo-fi in the extreme. Open mic; punk rock; red, white and blue.

So, do you own a Tele'?

As for me, it'll be a quiet weekend, after having spent the last 2 at the Renaissance Festival. Laundry, put the costumes away 'til the next time. The next home soccer game is Sat the 19th.
