Paging "Reverend" DS1 - I Sliced My Drive Into The Pond. Can You Get It???
Edited on Thu Jun-10-04 12:54 PM by matcom
i normally wouldn't ask but it was a Titleist ProV1 and they are expensive.

since you are a "reverend" and all, could you hop across the pond and get it for me?

thanks pal.

10. ProV1's????
What are using that overpriced piece of hype for?

The answer you are looking for is Top Flite Infinity. Second softest ball on the market. You can compress it with only an 80mph clubhead speed. They last forever (as long as you don't slice it into a lake), and they cost 1/3rd of the ProV1.

Don't call 'em Top Rocks, either. If you do, it's just proving you haven't tried them yet.

That's all i use now. Added 7 or 8 yards off the tee, the very first day i used it. Normally, a well hit drive for me goes 255 - 260 yard. Same quality hit will now push 265. Same club. Same guy. Different ball. Just a coincidence. I think no.

If you were using an affordable ball, rather than a status symbol, you wouldn't need the reverand to retrieve it. You'd just forget about it.

See, i solved all your problems. Except for the slice. That you'll have to work on yourself.

12. Well, All Right Then
As long as you're not spending good money for nothin'. Now, the slice; you might want to invest in some lessons. A slice can only get you into trouble!

Me, i'm a blocker. When i go right, it's solid, but 20 degrees or more right. But, no banana ball from me.

Besides i needed to chime in on a golf thread. How else could i be sure that GOPisEvil knows that my handicap is down to 4?

13. Ack! Down to 4?!
It's been a while since I've played. No excuses. I need to be out there more.I can use the exercise.

I tend to block, too. Especially when I haven't played - my timing is all off. Sometimes I over compensate and hit a snap-hook. :eyes:

16. Yeah, but you need blockers!
Otherwise you might get tackled by a tree.

18. I Play Lots Now
My wife actually told me to play all i can now, because we don't know if i'll be able to walk when i retire in 15 years or so.

MS can be forgiving for a long time, then wham! Or not! So, if i can still play when i retire, bonus! If not, i won't wish i had played more when i still could.
