After days of rainstorms, finally a sunny afternoon!

Rainy weather messes me up big time (arthritis)-- yesterday I was in too much pain to work. But today it all cleared out, and I got my work caught up, and this afternoon I was able to spend an hour in the pool playing with Lady (my sister's Labrador Retriever). The water temp was 4 degrees cooler than normal, but man it was nice! I feel GOOD!

Hope the rain is gone for a while...

1. I knew it had to be one of us Texans exclaiming about this....

I have arthritis too, in my toes, so it gets worse in the rain.

We finally got our pond all dug out the other day. It's a good thing we didn't fill it all the way! The backyard was verging on a full-fledge flash flood!

Hopefully some of it evaporated!

2. You should do what I did

My toe hurt so bad I told the doctor if HE didn't cut it off I would.

He did it... (yep, true story!)

But don't they help hold your body up and stuff?

I haven't quite reached that stage yet. Painful, but livable. May need surgery eventually, but my doc doesn't want to do that. She'd rather keep me on Relefen and have me use my orthotics.
