Any one with XBOX live, a little help please?

I want to get mine hooked up online but would like to get some pointers on how to do that.

But only at my moms. But I live with my dad who only has a dial up. I'm at my Moms for the summer. is the monthly fee worth it?

When you buy the Kit that costs 49.99.. (or it was when I bought it)

It comes with everything you need... a startup CD that will guide you through everything, and it has a few simple games that can be played online.

What you will do is likely the same thing I did.. just connect your X-box oto your cable modem via a regular ethernet cable...

You cant use the computer and the xbox live at the same time that way, but I just use one at a time.. if you want to use both you need a router...

You may need a credit card, but it does not charge it (I've had mine less than a year and they have never touched my credit card a single time, but if I remember correctly I did have to put the number in... the memory of it is a little hazy from the Christmas excitiment that event took place in.. I got the kit for xmas)

After that, it's surprisingly easy.... all you need is xbox-live enabled games...which I have pretty much none..

to tell you the truth, I almost never use xbox live.... not enough games are live anabled.. I am getting me a PS2 now, in aticipation for GTA: San Andreas
