3. I heard it first 3 weeks ago
and it was posted here on a Friday afternoon the first time I saw it...I think all that was said at that time was all you see here now. Wear Red on Friday to protest Bush and the illegal Iraq Invasion.

Works for me. Easy to do. If it keeps getting repeated and spread around, we should see more and more red each Friday up to the election?

Just do it, spread it, let it build.

2. Red was Nancy Reagan's favorite color.
I thought we were wearing it to honor Reagan, and was worried.
I'll wear it, but I don't want people to get the wrong idea.
I'm not a GOP supporter!!!

5. I got an e-mail on this
that seemed like it might be a RW effort. Wasn't clear, just said to the disdain of un-American ralliers. May be I'm just paranoid, but it says support the troops, which I do, but when they use that language it tends to make me suspicious.

8. I'm a little confused
Is there also a rightwing antiwar movement wearing red? If so, I welcome them into the struggle against Bush*s war.

10. Me too
I suppose we can both declare victory. This is part of the e-mail I received.

Wear Red on Fridays

Wish I could take credit for this idea, but it's not mine. We plan to do this
EVERY Friday until all our troops return home. It has come to my attention
that quite a few Americans support our troops, but as usual, we are the silent
majority. We are not "organized" to really reflect who we are, nor our
opinions.

We would like to start a grass roots movement using the membership of the
Special Operations Association and the Special Forces Association to recognize
Americans who support our troops.

My idea is not to stand on street corners once or twice, not to carry stupid
signs in a rally, not to carry our flag in parades. Its much simpler than
that. We need to inform the local VFW's and American Legion, our local press,
local TV, and even continue carrying the message up to the national levels as we
start to get this going. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our
troops is that starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, that
we and every red blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR
SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV - let's see if we can make the United States, on any
given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at the University
of Oklahoma or University of Nebraska. If every one of our memberships share
this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, country club friends, neighbors,
I
guarantee you that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED
- much to the disdain of the un-American ralliers.

9. Wear Black. It is Friday.
Black for all the people that have died since bu$h was installed in our White House. This has nothing to do with Ronald Reagen.

12. No problem, red is one of my favorite colors...
I have a red t-shirt and a red cap that I promise to wear anytime I have clothes on Friday. (Okay, an hour or two is all I can guarantee because I hate clothes and its FRIDAY!)

Tiger Woods' color of choice for the final round of any tournament he plays in.

Just wanted to chime in on that...
