Lucky Me...I have not watched ANY of the Reagasm Coverage
I have been meaning to edit my PVR "saved" stuff. I had 72 hours of stuff recorded, but not watched..

Yay...Perfect timing..

I am now caught up on Frontlines, Nightlines,Daily Shows, Washington Journals, Deadwoods, Sopranos, Nows, and a few movies I had recorded..

I only have 20 hours or so left on my "watch it later" list..

Did I miss anything ?? All-Reagan-All-the-Time, right??

He was not that entertaining in real life, so I seriously doubt that I missed much :)

5. Me, either.
I've been listening to the radio and watching movies. There's a real good one on right now, as a matter of fact-"Meltdown". (It's on Fox, which is pretty surprising, considering the content.)

10. On his final journey back here tomorrow he passes my house
I'm within, er, shooting distance of Pt. Mugu. I's weird that it's also a local story. Sucks to be in east Ventura County right now.

7. I despised the Reagan administration when I lived through it...
Why should I rekindle nightmarish memories of my youth?

To avoid news of the passing of Ronald Reagan, my partner and I saw a stage version of FAME! last night. We've also eaten out three times, sat in on our deck and listened to our fountain, cleaned house and, generally, had a wonderful time this week. I have ABSOLUTELY NO DESIRE to relieve 1981-1988. They were my least favorite years.

Okay, okay, to be honest, I met my partner in 1989 and life has been MUCH better post-Reagan. Still, those years hold no charms for me.

8. I don't know if you've missed anything.
Happily, I am totally Reagasm free.

Not a nanosecond's worth has crossed my screen.

Contentment and serenity reign supreme in my little cottage.

9. Me neither. I've been watching TCM and AMC the past few days.
I must confess I've watched a couple of Ronnie's old movies which I had never seen (on TCM...they're doing a marathon).

The line, "I forgot to dodge the bullet" was just uttered in his 1942 film, "Desperate Journey" (by another actor!).

Haven't watched a minute myself. It's summer here, and they're WAY too short to waste on Ronnie TV.

12. A few seconds - literally - is all I've seen of it
TVLand had an Addams Family marathon last weekend, so that was a fallback position. Or we go to tape for Monty Python and MST3K. Had to depend on the Web for news, though. Otherwise there's absolutely no avoiding RTV.

13. Not much, either
I have just watched to see some of the procedure, and to get a look at some of the Democrats there.

I usually sleep in, and yesterday was no exception. I did see Clinton and Kerry talking - hopefully some strategy talk got in.

I watched a lot of the bringing of the coffin to the Capitol building. That was my favorite part of procedure. Things like the riderless horse and the upside down boots are interesting.

The coverage was annoying. I expected it to be respectful, but it went overboard. CBS said Reagan related well to the common man. Tell that to the union workers!

14. The riderless horse actually pisses me off
That symbol is supposed to commemorate the country losing its leader..A president who dies in office is supposed to have that symbol in his funeral....not one who is out of office..

His death did not leave the country "leaderless"..

They bastardized the JFK funeral.:( That state funeral meant something..This was just "showbiz"..:(...and a hige waste of public funds..

16. Well, I had never seen it before
I prefer he didn't have a state funeral because of his politics and his age, but it was good for me to see the ceremony.

The riderless horse was last used for Johnson, who did not die in office, but did die suddenly.

15. I heard rumours about Reagan being dead, and I thought...
"My sympathy for his family....

Then I remembered how much our family was in debt for taking care of our own "Reagan"--my Grandmother, once he had fallen ill.

The day I see all the (Pro) Reagans moving into one 3 bedroom shack while making minimum wage, well, then I might feel sorry for them.
