Boudicca is the best cat I ever had. She's half Siamese, very bright, very social, very vocal. She has the Siamese shape and voice, but she's black with gold eyes.

She has several geriatric kitty diseases that require monitoring - - kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. She was suffering from dental disease until she had two teeth extracted last week. She's on a special low protein diet and needs subcutaneous fluids every other day.

But if you just saw her walking around outside, you'd never know she had any health problems.

Who else has a senior pet?

He's very healthy I thinks it's the diet of chipmunks and field mice.

3. My DC is 24 years and 6 months old and still his normal...
'I hate every other animal in the world' self. I have not had him the entire time, but have all of his records. I rescued him from his former owners, who abused him horribly. He chose me as his next caretaker and we have been together ever since. It took him 3 years to adjust to having other kitties in the house, but he is finally actually happy to have the company (though, if he could talk, he would deny this). He is my bud and my favorite co-author, as he sits beside me when I am working on my dissertation. He is a very tall, grey and white Tabby with orange markings on his tummy.

4. My cat is 17....
...and healthy as a horse. Little TC behaves like a cat 1/3 her age. Full of energy and no health problems. We've been lucky.

5. We don't know the age of my mom's cat
Real Meow (yes, that's her name) came into my sister's household about 16 years ago as a fully mature cat, so she could be anywhere from 18 on up. She recently went through a health crisis, stopped eating and became very skinny. This was three months ago, and I was ready to take her to the vet for the "Big Sleep." She didn't seem to be suffering at all though, so we decided to give her a couple more days to say goodbye. Then she started to eat again, and now is frisky as a kitten. Still skinny, but she could stand to lose some weight.

7. my childhood pair
siblings of my dad's cat's only litter. lived quite long. the sweet tabby went at 17 from kidney failure. whiskers and she had a very symbiotic relationship, but he outlived her and finally went of kidney failure at around 20-21. My cousin's cat made it to 21.
unfortunately i was stunned when i lost my Cosmo at 10. too too young!
and i know a woman who has a part siamese who was 21.
i just hope my new kittens will be like the first pair.
and the female who was SUPPOSED tpo be cosmo's 'mate' will just have to put up with the new ons.
