I just conducted shameless ass-kissery

We had a story come up here about a guy who had his identity stolen by a man in my town.. FOr Six months this guy lived under another guy's name, even filed taxes in his name. Well, it turns out the guy who had his identity stolen is from my home town. Now my hometown paper is really damn big and I'd love to work there.
So I capitalized on the story, called the editor there and tipped him off on the story while wearing my best PR grin.

Shameless, but if I ever wanna get home again - it's a must. :-)
