1. Neat little book.
I've just started it, but it may help me improve my grammar. Hopefully.

2. She is my wife's hero
My wife Daisy is a bona fide member of the punctuation police. She loved the book - and thought it was hilarious.

We live in Appalachia where an apostrophe means "look out there's an S coming" as in pet's for sale, and Beanie baby's.

6. apostrophes are my
peeve ("it's vs its" is especially vexing).

I had a conversation with someone over the telephone who argued that the phrase "past year's" was open to interpretation (i.e. ambiguous as to which year ).

My reply was "No, the rules of grammar dictate that that refers specifically to the previous year and there is no other acceptable interpretation".

I suppose I was a bit testy, but I am possessive about my knowledge of possesives.

3. In the process of reading it
so far, so great!

But then, I'm a sucker for good grammar (even if I don't always practice it!)

5. I'm going to buy it this weekend
It sounds like it's right up my alley. I'm obsessed with apostrophe misuse - it drives me nuts. I know, I should lighten up. :D
