His stuff on Regatta de Blanc wasn't too bad, but Mrs. Gradenko makes me physically ill when I listen to it. :P I really like 'Contact' and 'Does Everyone Stare' is probably the best thing he wrote, in my view.
He does some great work on a one-off album with Les Claypool and Trey Anistasio. The group was called Oysterhead. Great CD. It might be a little out there for some folks, but I know several people who like it.
Hell yeah, you need a slamming backbeat and a lot of syncopation you call Stewart Copeland. I really dug the Animal Logic stuff - THAT is some power pop. He and Stanley played well together, imo. The Oysterhead stuff I found unlistenable. And I like the all the bands they came from.
