1. I love all Beatles
But Please Please me catches them in the spirit that they began. I always enjoy listening to that album.

2. To me A Hard Day's Night best captured that early spirit
They're all but bursting out of your speakers trying to entertain you on that one--plus it was the first album that was entirely Lennon/McCartney originals. Great stuff.

7. Big second on "A Hard Day's Night".
"With The Beatles" is supposedly the better album, but "A Hard Day's Night" just makes me happier. It's also my all-time favorite movie.

4. Too many covers!
And a few of the originals sound uninspired in their performance--love me some 'Ticket to Ride' and 'The Night Before', though.

8. But you gotta love "You're Going To Lose That Girl".
Kind of the evil twin to "She Loves You".

5. First album "Meet the Beatles"
Nothing has ever sounded quite like that record to me.

14. Actually, PLEASE PLEASE ME was their first album...
...at least in the UK. MEET THE BEATLES (or WITH THE BEATLES, as it was called in England) was their second.

9. Hard Day's Night
Overall it has the best tunes. Even the non-film tracks are good. Not to mention, at the time, it was completely unheard of for a rock-n-roll group to write and record their own original soundtrack.

13. Going to see "1964: The Tribute" next weekend in DC. They are
an awesome band (been seeing them in concert since the late 80s). They are an awesome Beatles tribute band.
