Anybody here like the band Ween?

I don't run into a lot of ppl who have heard of them, and most of the time those I do run into that have heard of them hate them with a passion.

I personally think they're great in a bizarre sort of way.

2. It's really hard to classify

They have dabbled in a wide range of styles, even have made a "country" album, but I think for simplicity I will state that they are a "rock" band.

I think some of their stuff is good.

Have you heard the commercial jingle they submitted to Pizza Hut, and the "R-rated" version recorded after it was rejected? Funny stuff!

5. I've seen them live!

Their album "Pod" is a must-have IMO. I haven't heard "The Mollusk".

Some of their other stuff is just a little too ... uh ... I can't put my finger on it ...

7. How are they live?

I've been thinking of seeing them in August when they come to Portland, Maine. I've heard they're pretty good, but haven't heard a lot of them...

what is funny is i was talking with my girlfriennd the other night and she was asking me if i wanted to go see one of her friend's boyfriend's band. When i asked what kind of music it was she said that her friend told her they sound like ween. I laughed. what the hell does ween sound like? they don't have a sound, their sound is sounding like other types of music.

The only times I heard of them is the "Loop Dee Loop Song" on SpongeBob Sqaurepants and an appearance in "It's Pat", the movie.
