Today I rode a Segway and I didn't fall off of it: Ask me why!!!

I was volunteering at the LPGA at the Dupont here in Delaware and one of the Booths was for Delmarva Segway. They were showing off the Segway and letting folks have a chance to test drive one.

Well, towards the end of the tournament I decided I had to try out this challenging contraption that Resident Thief George W. Bush couldn't handle.

Wobbly I got on the Segway and thought maybe this thing is more challenging than what I thought. I received a 5 minute instruction on how to use the Segway and how to drive it. And after those 5 minutes I was off zooming on the thing. Man those things are easy to drive!!! And the way these things are designed, you'd have to be completely drunk or uncoordinated to knock these things over. I actually road over a speed bump and didn't feel a thing on the Segway.

I probably one of the most uncoordinated folks I know. And if I can drive a Segway, what does that say about the pResidental Idiot??

2. Cool! Was it fun? I saw someone riding one at the St Louis
Science Center last week after the Harry Potter movie.

Also, you did not fall because you were not drunk.

6. Yes, it was really fun
As I was driving home, I thought it would be neat to have a Segway since I'm downtown Wilmington and I could use it to drive to work (2 mile drive) or run errands.

However,

There really isn't a way for the Segway to carry yourself and grocery bags. I could probably put a knapsack on my back, but it does have its limits. There isn't much praticality to the thing for an everyday use

To understand the instructions nor an hour to spare trying to comprehend them.

7. What instructions?
Segway reps typically help you step on the machine, while they hold it. Their instructions took all of two minutes, at most. Biggest point. "Think" forward to go forward. Think back to reverse. Think stop to stop. It's that easy.

5. Isn't that supposed to be a transition between scenes in a movie?
How could you ride something like that? Wouldn't it get disorienting when you ended up in a different scene?
